Herbert is ridiculous, in a good way.
This new vid by Brett Kollmann analyzes Herbert, the Chargers' passing game, Joe Lombardi's play calling, the O line, and the WRs.
He says criticism of Lombardi is unfounded. Lombardi is doing a good job with the players he has, and the limitations they present.
There is a lack of speed on the Chargers' WR corps. Guyton, the only speedy wideout, can't run block, so whenever he's on the field the defense is tipped off it's a pass play. Explains a lot.
The O line, while better than it was two seasons ago, still is not complete, not able to protect Herb long enough for a deep passing game consistently.
Telesco/Staley will make drafting speed at WR a priority next April.
It's a really good and informative video, and he thinks Herbert has few if any equals in the NFL.
