I don't think Kendrick is nearly as good (or versatile) as McDuffie. I doubt Kyler Gordan makes it to our 2nd round pick. No way McDuffie makes it that far. If I thought either would fall that far, I'd go RT in the 1st. But that would be a risky bet.

There will be some decent CB's in the 2nd round this draft. But I think there is a significant drop off after the 1st rounders... especially ones that fit our scheme. They have to be slot/outside versatile and be sure tacklers.

McDuffie is a need pick, he’s on the smaller size, not elite speed, some here have mentioned Gordon with higher upside. Great program developing secondary, I’ve always felt, coming from the NW it’s the Seahawk affect/influence, always premium secondary players.

However, gotta go trench DL in first. Second round is better value. Hate where Chargers are slotted to select and would sweat bullets just like last year when Asante Samual dropped to Chargers. Really hoping for Baylor, Jalen Pitre natural NFL slot corner who could kick outside. He has length, 6’ and weight 200 to hold up, along with requisite speed and quickness. Good instincts too, like Samual. Would love this selection.

That would be good as long as they are not allowed to dive in Cholame CA.

Nakobe is most definitely worth 17...but depending on what we do in FA, most likely a luxury pick...I can see us solving a lot of defensive issues thru FA....but hard to see options for RT out there...which makes me think that is the position we end up addressing at 17.

I think a quality starting RT is a perfectly fine investment, but hearing Staley and Telesco … I can’t imagine they don’t pick defense. Could be wrong, and it depends how the board falls above. But they (and I) know they didn’t make the playoffs because of the defense.

And Staley in particular cannot like the feeling of coming in as the Defensive Guru and fielding a bottom-5 defense.
