When Gus was in Seattle, they used a very different idea of who to play where. They had a strong DE (red Bryant) who weighed 330lbs. Brandon Mebane was a 300 lb read and react 3 tech (he gained weight and moved to NT later). They did a very good job of finding good players who didn't fit the prototypes for each position, and Seattle was able to get by with a DL who no one else wanted. And those guys were better than our DL with big name FA and high draft picks.

We need a coaching staff that actually pays attention to the calls on the field. Whether or not it was a first down, the coaching staff had to be ready for whatever was called. They weren’t. Amateur hour. Again.

It could be the refs were so incredulous that we did it again at the end of a half that they lost site of the spot while shaking their heads in bewilderment. Bottom line, if we don't call an idiotic run there this stupid chain reaction doesn't start.

First down or not, we had no timeouts and they ran the damn ball Again! You have to throw it in the EZ and if it is incomplete, then you kick the FG.
