One of the major reasons the Chargers lost yesterday and last Sunday was the inability to pressure the opposing quarterback.
Jadeveon Clowney was out there and the Chargers had the cap space. One year deal even with Ingram and Bosa WAS possible.

The Chargers had their fourth consecutive loss Monday against the Saints, but coach Anthony Lynn is hopeful the team can start winning again.
What is he supposed to say? We're fucked!

Clowney would have helped definitely. Heck, Taco Charlton is better than our pass rushers.

Do you believe the saying 'you cannot have enough pass rushers' is a myth? After Bosa, Ingram, Tillery, and Nwosu, what pass rushers on the defensive front do you have? Because this is what's getting the team. If more people acknowledge and understand this, then we'll go somewhere.
How many teams have more than 4 proven pass rushers out of 8 Dlinemen?

Why is this brought up so much?
It isn’t going to happen unless you have some secret inside knowledge that isn’t public facing.

So we're just sweeping under the rug that K.Allen started with 29yd and a TD. Then was gone for the final 3 quarters of the game.

Ekeler, James. Bulaga. Turner, Harris, Ingram. Tranquill.

Lynn has adjusted to losing all these very good players and stays competitive.

Yet Lynn won't make excuses. He is next man up, execute your assignment. Every game has been winnable. So clearly not bad gameplans or preparation where his team gets blown out.

Just keep working. Keep getting better.
Win 4 out of next 5 to get back in it for a playoff push?
              Yes they can do it.

All 11 of those losses last year were winnable too. The scapegoat Rivers is gone and it is still happening.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your Anthony Lynn coached team (and it's only been 5 games).

We can do better. Much better.

Team had no business getting a double digit lead in the 1st place. They were underdogs vs KC, Bucs, Saints. The odds makers said they should lose the game and they did.

Did you not read the pre game shade posted that Lynn is a terrible coach and is going to get blown out by KC, Bucs & Saints.

Then after the game, it changed to Lynn blew it, he should have won. Terrible coach.

                  Well which is it?
Terrible coach that will get blown out by Mahomes/Reid, Brady/Arians, Brees/Payton
                  Or
Terrible coach Lynn should have beat them and blew it.

I say good coach missing half his starters and still giving them all they can handle.

Be careful what you wish for.

I am thinking what are the good, proven HC skills that AL has?:

                      - implementing game changing Xs and Os? Run run pass
                      - motivating players? Mishandling QB situation
                      - in game adjustments? With KC, NO, Tampa?
                      - not hesitate to fire underlerforming coaching staff? Stewart?
                      - eye for talent in draft? ??
                      - leading his people for a war?

Seriously what is making coach Lynn so special in your eyes?

I had written it before there is no future with Lynn and he has no future with organisation.

I wish for a change. I have seen much enough.

After Chargers will let him go he will not get HC gig again.

I could not agree more with Cowherd's take. Lynn has proven himself to be awful. He must go. The only question is whether he is allowed to have the rest of the season before being fired.

It is great for a major commentator to pick up the point I previously made when I asked how any HC could have concluded that Taylor should have been starting over Herbert in the first place. Unless you think Herbert suddenly changed from week one when he was not good enough to start to week two when he was forced to start and was great, Herbert must have always been clearly better by a wide margin and the failure to see that or the decision to ignore that is a huge red flag that Lynn is an incompetent head coach.

As Cowherd said, Herbert has arrived. He is a star and better than the likes of Brees and Brady at this point in their careers right now.

We need a good coach to bring out the best in him, not to stifle him with an asinine run heavy approach combined with a timid, no risk passing attack. And we need to end our 7 year run of no OL players selected before the 3rd round [Edit: except for Lamp], which has been a huge problem when combined with all of the OL players selected in Telesco's era in any round being complete flops. We simply cannot afford to create an unreasonably increased risk of injury to Herbert. He is the team's future at QB.

                          Wasn't Lamp a 2nd rounder?
