Teo (2nd/4rth)
Chris Watt (3rd)
Rochell (7th)
Tranq (4rth)
Tillery (1rst)
Gilman (6th)
Tranquill is the only decent one of the bunch...
It is like an addiction for Telesco - maybe with the next token in the slot machine he will hit the jackpot.

Belichick drafted the LT Tuney and moved him to LG. He drafted the RG Shaq Mason, and kept him there.
Why maximize the difficulty for a rookie?
Why did they not move Lamp to LG and keep Feeney at RG? After adjusting to the NFL, they can move them around more.
And there is also the drafting of guards and turning them into centers.
My point is this is not what they do on occasion, it is what they do period.
You can point to cases where Left tackles successfully convert to right guards (Zack Martin), and guards successfully convert to centers.
Generally, it is not the case.
How has this worked out for Telesco? If you have been successful, keep it up.
There is a OG this year in the draft,..... Cade Mays of Tennessee that has played all over the OL there including some OC (think Slater did as well but not as a OC) so dont be surprised if he is on their list or even drafted here. Pipkins has no where else to play so what good is he?
There are also OL on other teams that have done this. Cam Irving was a LT at Fl st and then got moved to OC because of an injury to their OC. As a rookie at Cleveland they had him at RG then the next season at OC then the next season at RT and at KC he played RG and LT so we arent inventing some crazy changing of the guard of OL just on our team.
Still comes down to talent.
Feeney isnt starting for the Jets and isnt playing RG there either. He is their backup OC according to their depth chart. Feeney won accolades/awards from Highschool and in college for being the best OL. But college isnt the NFL and apparently he reached his peak there and just didnt have much room to improve.
Im not sure Lamp is even on a team right now.
It happens.Last edited by Boltjolt; 12-02-2021, 02:16 PM.

Feeney failed...he wasn't good enough to be a solid starter in the NFL. If you drafted him to play guard, it would have been easier to pass on him);
but Telesco and staff saw him as a center - they made the more difficult evaluation of projecting his skills onto a position he hardly played.
Telesco isn't particularly good at projecting an Olineman's skill set onto a new position, or onto a much, much higher level of play (Div III to the pros);
he should probably stop doing it. It will make it easier on himself, and more importantly, easier on us Charger fans.
If Cade Mays has played quite a bit one of the positions the Chargers wish to fill, by all means, draft him;
if not, pound Telesco's groin with a big hammer if he starts to signal Cade May's as the selection when on the clock.
