    1. Does the coaching staff/personnel department feel this 2021 team is a SB roster?
They better. We've got a coach that coaches to win, every game, regular season and any postseason games we get. We'll see who gets hot in December and January, crazier things have happened.

Have the Bolts brought in ANY other kickers during this bye week?
Vizcaino certainly must be skating on thin ice, right?

Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:

        - 69-74 record
        - 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
        - Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
        - 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
        - 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
        - Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
        - Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

Maybe the WFT brass was afraid he was going to miss some more. He does have a strong leg, though--career has 14 figgies over 50 yds.

As I've said before, Vizzy has a VERY skimpy resume as a kicker. Only really kicked his senior year at Washington, where he was only 60% on figgies career there...not good...and THAT was all the way back in 2017...then, he kicked around several NFL practice squads for years until he got a shot with the Niners, when he did kick 3/3 figgies in one game at the end of the season last year...seems every team where he goes, they must get wowed by his strong leg, but still has accuracy issues...not a large, consistent, body of work he's done...agree--if Bolts are so high on him, send him to PS to hone his craft, but get an experienced NFL kicker in the meantime...Hopkins, Lambo, etc....

It seems like a no-brainer to me

Having faith in Vizzy - putting him on the PS - is not a bad thing. He like you said, can hone his craft. The Chargers give themselves a guy who might be better.

This talk about a year early is bumpkus. That doesn't mean getting stupid - but strategic small improvements could really help this team.

Agree...we're probably only a solid DT and kicker away from a possible deep run in the playoffs...maybe more...

So you’re saying he is very raw with limited experience as a kicker?
If so, doesn’t that prescribe more coaching, more in-game opportunities, more practice, and simply just more experience?
I’m definitely not a kicking scout/coach but our staff believes he has the talent and that he just needs time/coaching/experience to be our PK of our future.

For all those complaining about his kickoffs, the short KOs are called plays to try to limit the opponent’s starting position. Track the hangtime TV puts on these kickoffs. TV’s leg would allow him to put the ball into the stands if that was the called play.

Fucking relax people. If we had given up on every raw first year player after 6 games how many good players would we’ve missed?

Yep, Vizzy IS raw and inexperienced...he seems to be learning on the job...like I said, if the Bolts are so high on him, send him to the protected PS so he can continue to practice and hopefully improve...in the meantime, try out someone like Hopkins or Lambo...Lambo kicked 90%+ several years with the Jags until he met Urban...

At least give yourself a punchers chance by making a couple changes.
