Don’t early releases tend to end up on the PS?

Early releases allow the player (ie.- his agent) to contact teams and gauge interest. When interest is tepid, the player usually signs to the practice squad of the team he's already been with.

I know Bandy has been talked about a lot throughout this thread, and I can’t say I completely disagree with all the posts advocating for his release, but I for one think that he’s a player we need to hang onto! I agree that he ultimately fits primarily into a slot receiver role but I think he’s got enough talent to work into special teams as a returner and as a gunner as well. Also, our receivers don’t exactly have a stellar history when it comes to injuries. If it were up to me, I would much rather see Bandy make the squad over Webb. Heck, I’d rather see him make the team lover JT Woods (the guy couldn’t tackle my grandmother!). He’s the kind of guy we will end up regretting that we let go if we set him free - MARK MY WORDS!!

Agree with this. I'd keep him over a 3rd QB, don't even care which one they release. Bandy's the kind of offense we need when they're putting the pressure on Herbert and the short game is critical.
