I didn’t rate QBs this year but will trust TT/staff and I love the physical/mental package Herbert comes in.
- sit for a year, mechanics broke down/remade, devour the playbook, earn the respect of the locker room.

That’s fine others can like him, I never said I want to force my opinion on anyone. I’ll be the first to admit no one knows the future. I hope he’s the next Peyton Manning but my opinion is he won’t be. We will see what happens.

All the self appointed NFL talent scouts in here, assuming Hebert is gonna match the learning curve of past busts, beat by beat...

Why this demand that no one have a non-rosey opinion. We can respect all opinions. I respect anyone who thinks he will be great, I can disagree and recognize that others can have another opinion. It’s not fair to tell anyone what they have to do because you don’t like it.

I wonder if it’s a form of virtue signaling, trying to compete for the biggest Fanatic or something like that. Ive seen darn near every member get negative about something the team has done. No one has to be 100% all the time.

I think it’s also fair to say everyone here hopes he turns out to be a stud, some don’t like the pick for various reasons but no one wishes that he fails.

Welcome aboard, Justin. I think we’re gonna love this pick ... I’ve seen all the pros, cons ... can’t hit a receiver beyond 5 yards, bad mechanics. I am betting a big problem was his unstable OU coaching support and WRs. The hope I see is what he seems he was able to do with just a couple months of actual professional QB coaching between his last game an the combine. Its not a game, no live bullets, but the kid is wicked smart and if he listens and works he can solve his mechanics issues that caused accuracy problems.

if he does - well, we’ve got a 6’4” dual threat beast with a fricken cannon bolted onto his torso. Its a QB league, Simmons is great but I love Murray to fill that need but be more stout against the run. We needed a QB. I liked the possible improvement of Herbert more that Tua - who’s injury profile scares me too much. Plus, the dude is short, i can’t trust in short QBs for some stupid reason.
