Perhaps somebody like Jeremiah shouldn't rank prospects until he's evaluated them fully. But then he wouldn't get the clicks in between the end of January and April.

He had Laiatu Latu at #21 on January 30 and #16 today. Latu's moved up five spots because of his combine and Pro Day performances?

Personally I think it's silly.

But you know, there are times teams will go back and look to see if they missed something if a guy just runs a faster or slower 40 than they expected. It's just something to talk about. Bucky Brooks and whoever else was doing a mock I think yesterday and Jeremiah was there on zoom along with Zeirlien and they weren't using his draft board. They just asked their opinion on players.

I'm starting to get it...
I'm still on team bowers but drafting Alt is a truly unique opportunity to have elite tackles in a system that uses their swing tackle often in jumbo sets.
Slater has already been hurt and if he were to ever go down, we are suddenly very, very vulnerable.
so if Alt successfully transitions to ORT we have
Elite starting OTs (unpredictable offense)
high end swing OT in Pip (stop laughing)
insurance if Slater were to go down with a season ending injury again.
It's more of a top-heavy OT class, not necessarily "deep"

Bowers, MH2 and now, lastly, Alt

Jeremiah's top 50 rankings are for entertainment only, as far as I'm concerned. I guess I'm a cynic, but I don't take them seriously, especially when his first one comes out in January. If others want to point to them as evidence that a prospect is the real deal, so be it.

I prefer to read Bob McGinn's reports, which quote anonymous scouts who are still working in the NFL.

its funny that for 2 years Bowers has been in top 5 months before the draft based primarily on real game play...
then since none of these WR's performed at combine, people had to wait for college pro days which are scripted.... lol and they suddenly impress so much they jump to the top?????

this is like the Bosa draft when Bosa was best player in country for 2 seasons but getting closer to draft everyone was making up reasons for Chargers not to take best player in nation, Bosa.... and rumors were spread that we were taking ramsey..... and why Dallas thought Bosa would drop to them!?..... lol

I remember Jerimiah saying a couple of months ago that Bowers was a top 5 talent but he had him dropping to mid teens because he is a TE.... (and its obvious he does not clearly understand that a great TE helps all phases of an offense and is a matchup nightmare in clutch situations)....

KC has won 2 consecutive SB's without an expensive DIVA WR.... because they had a TE that the top 2 defenses could not stop when there were no real WR's to worry about????
and after 4 or 5 years no team with a great expensive QB, can afford to keep that elite WR...... so if you draft the elite top 3 WR's, and they are successful in NFL, we can only have them for 4 to 5 years.....

^ This...IMO, the only real value of the combine and pro days is if some sleeper from a Sammy Small School who has great film, suddenly rates the same or better than prospects from big time programs...THAT usually helps their stock go up...otherwise, like u said, WATCH THE FILM, DUDE!
