    And after game.....

Burrow said. "There's still a lot of room to improve. I missed some throws that I usually make today. I wasn't quite as sharp as I had been in the past. My receivers bailed me out on a lot of throws. I'm excited to get back to practice and get those things fixed."

Who has it better than us?

Tell you what...he has made a couple mistakes, but I really like the hell out of Justin Fields...in my mind, he is right up there with Lawrence....at least in this game.

Sooners trenches flat out sucked today, both sides of the ball. Anybody else curious how Hurts would’ve done behind LSU’s Oline? Or Burrow behind Oklahoma’s?

I find it helpful to evaluate a qb by looking at a difficult outing. Evaluating Burrow today is a lot like evaluating Melvin Gordon against Nebraska a few years back -

It didn't represent what he would encounter in the NFL.

Hurst on the other hand.....gives you an idea how he'll fare next year as a Charger.

Yep that Trevor Lawrence sure doesn’t impress....

True sophomore slump season. Has his team up with 2 mins left in the 4th against OHST. Leads 4th Q comebacks. Doesn’t ever seemed overwhelmed in the biggest situations.
Has never lost a college game. Improved statistically in most passing categories except increased INTs by 4 to 8. The running ability, arm talent, winning pedigree, natural physical stature/tools is really not something you look for.

Damn let down I tell you.

Great performance , great player. Led his team to a national championship as a freshman.

                    Fields played great too.

I'd be thrilled if the Chargers got either one.

When I read a comment like this, it makes me chuckle because people refuse to give Rivers the same break playing behind a crappy line...

To answer your question, I think whatever team Burrows was playing on wins as he was clearly the best player on the field, but a long shot. Hurts hurt himself today.

will also add (but of course) that Stidham threw for 335 yards and four scores (70 percent completion percentage) in the first half of his bowl game, and in the 2017 Iron Bowl his team beat Alabama, and while he managed a 75 percent completion percentage.... his problem was the opposite of Burrows, instead of flourishing under a new OC, his new OC was detrimental to his senior season, until the HC decided to call the plays in his final Sugar Bowl game, and where he threw for 373 yards and 5 TDs in just over a half of play.

we've passed on some good ones in the past under team Tommy John, i.e. Star and RR, and not to mention Deshaun and Mahomes…. hopefully we can do like we did w/Bosa and make the right pick for this team going forward (into Hollywood Park).
