Also Jackson back at practice today, hopefully he and Rountree can split spelling Ekeler, and Kelley can be our covid RB, only used if absolutely necessary.

Remove speed, and field gets smaller with DB's much closer to KA, MW, EK..... etc......

receivers with quickness and speed also get open quicker..... which helps the OL and QB....

a strong armed QB like Herbie can fire a bullet into smaller openings.......less time in air...less time for defense to react....
Speed has its benefits. It’s not the end-all that people on here pretend it is. Guyton and Johnson were the 2 fastest WR on the roster, both went undrafted with their 4.3 speed and one is now gone. Guyton is still here for deep speed. MW has been in the top 15 for YPC each of the last 3 years, top 10 the last 2 years.

Im absolutely surprised we cut Johnson, but I don’t think losing him is debilitating to our overall offense like some are acting. Some people lost their mind when Tyrell left too for very similar reasons and the offense kept on going just fine.

Yeah people are acting like we cut Allen or Herbert.

I disagree with cutting Johnson but he was wr4 at best.

For me it's cutting Johnson for Hill. Hill has not shown to be a good return guy and he hasn't shown that much as a WR where Johnson has.

4th 5th and 6th wide receivers are a dime a dozen in this league. This coaching staff values versatility in the ability to play special teams, tell him hoping that pays off during the regular season and turns our special team misery around. We shall see.
None of us were on the field for practice etc. Perhaps Johnson's head got ahead of himself; perhaps he wasn't working as hard on the playbook as he should have. There's a lot of reasons he may have been cut.

Agreed Hill doesn’t belong on the roster.

For everyone missing Johnson’s speed already Benjamin was cut by the 9ers…

I can't actually believe someone was complaining about Badgley getting cut. I'm far from sold on the new guy, but I sure as hell have seen enough of the old one.

Touchbacks should be a regular thing with Vizcaino. That's one crucial element of he special teams overhaul.

I wish Vizcaino had won the field goal kicking competition more decisively, though.

I like Merrill making the team: not a big fan of 300 pound backups for Joseph.

Merrill must have shown them something.
