Tony Pauline at Pro Football Network said two hours that
Ja'Marr Chase to CIN @#3
and Patrick Surtain II to DAL @#4 are no brainers.
Penei come on down to LA,
Herb's been waitin' for you.
LOL, well ok then. Its set in stone.
That would be nice to have him fall to us but i dnt see that set in stone.
So he is saying that Dallas is going to pay Dak 200 million or stick with Dalton? You have two crap GMs in Jones and Brown picking ahead of us. Anything can happen but yes Dallas needs secondary , OL, TE, LB and a QB. How they go about that QB is not a no brainer.
I think this draft is going to be more difficult than others have been because of the 2020 situtation w/ Covid affecting college ball, injuries to players and and a smaller salary cap.
However, id be quite happy to have Sewell fall to us....now its the worry of Telesco drafting him or going for a CB :smoking:
My trust level with this front office is low.
Maybe they all get blown out and we have an offseason that changes everything! lol
We keep assuming Bengals are gonna stand pat...that is a team that I think will be looking hard at moving back this time around...they are a favorite im my mind for a QB needy team to make a deal with...that could help us big time in the quest for Sewell...
Good point and actually something they should do, they are just inept. They need OL bad and a trade down they can still get some good iOL. Hec need it all imo. OC, OG and a OT. Maybe Dallas wants Fields to replace Daks asking of 200 mil.
Im a skeptic of Fields but for Dallas i dont care, lol.

I can't fathom them trading back with a chance to pick a tackle to protect Burrows.

Well if you the following players are on the board when the Chargers pick and Telesco is GM:
Chase, Surtain, Sewell, Rousseau
TT would probably pick Sewell last. I see him enamored with getting a "shiny fast" toy for Herbert to play with first over protecting the QB and building an OL
So sure, I can see the Bengals wanting a big time wideout for Burrows - plus they played at LSU together. They have the "connection" - or that would be the narrative.

The Bengals have given up 38 sacks in 11 games and got their QB broken in the process - I see no way they pass on Sewell for a WR.
Not sure how good Sewell is but if he is a franchise LT - thats worth a helluva lot!
He is good, very good.
Insane raw power, dancer’s feet/hip flexibility, huge motor/looks for work, high football IQ, brick wall anchor, outstanding length, and is a nasty finisher.

The Bengals had to have turned down some nice offers last year, but they stuck with their 1, and nabbed Burrows. This year? They got a chance to capitilize and rebuild a sad looking roster...and trading back does not preclude them getting a couple of solid oline prospects...just my gut, but I could totally see the Bengals pouncing on a big trade package AND probably still pick in the top half of the draft.
