Looks like Harbaugh and Michigan are in bigger trouble than they originally let on. Wonder if he’ll try to escape to the NFL or if they’ll punish him also.

The revelations altered Michigan’s and Jim Harbaugh’s legal approach. Both the school and Harbaugh dropped an attempt to secure a temporary restraining order against a three-game Big Ten suspension.

I think part of the punishment is he has to coach the Chargers for less than $10M a year starting next season. That will definitely get his attention and deter others from repeating what he allowed to happen in Ann Arbor

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Like I said - I will chip in to buy him some khaki pants. Maybe there will be a BOGO offer out there

He obviously cares and wants to do a good job. But I don't believe in him any more, although I have really tried. And I wonder if he really still believes in himself, all the bravado aside. The numbers are devastating and he cannot run from them. His defense is awful, in record proportions and it is all him, all the way. Has to be crushing to him.

The real problem is the PLAYERS don't believe in him or his scheme any more - for good reason.

A good coach understands what isn't working and tries to find things that might work. That doesn't mean the changes will do any better - it just means not doing the same thing over and over because "by golly this is my system, I think it should work"

I don't need innovation. That is for the assistant coaches. I want a HEAD coach...
You don't want innovation? You want to play '90s football in the '20s?

How can you say « for good reason » ?
With a win at GB, the Chargers can jump from 12th to 9th.
The game against BAL next week would be huge !

The the thing is, Staley may be the smartest man in the room. But that doesn't make him a good coach.

                          This is true. Staley may genuinely be a good guy too, but . . . . . . . . . . . . .
