Every game has been winnable. And Rivers has a habit of getting hot late in the season.
They need to finish 5-1 to have a shot a postseason.
Rivers needs to be a little better, especially late game decisions. The rest of team also needs to be better too. Just a bit better execution and they will get on a winning streak with Rivers.

Having said that. They still need to go get Joe Burrow next draft. Trade up and pick him. They need to be ready for the future.
    Spot on.
Some don't seem to get this,.. yes we need OL but we need to get ready for the QB transition as well and that possition is the hardest to find.

Joe Burrow will not be available via trade.
      Ditto Tua.
WAS will draft one of them.
This pathway could possibly lead to a trade of a Round 2 for Haskins.
The benefits there are he will already have some NFL experience,
and is under a rookie contract.
This would all be contingent on PR retiring.
      Otherwise, it's an Olineman, a WR#3, and more D.
      IMHO.

You can actually move the Bills to would stick with there guy. They dumped Tyrod for Josh Allen and like Allen who is doing pretty decent for them.

You're saying they're going to give up on Haskins already?

Not real intersted in Haskins anyways....or Rosen before someone mentions him again.

              See AZ.

Also, the issue is whether or not AL wants Haskins.

AZ did what they did becaus of their HC and his offense. Washington isn't running any type of that offense. Not to mention they have Haskins contract and Alex Smith's guaranteed deal.

You don't bench Rivers while he is still on the team.

According to tankathon if we finish where we currently are at, we would be picking 12th.

I don't see Herbert, Tua, or Burrow being available.

But... Jalen Hurts would be there. Jake Fromm would be there... and thinking outside the box a little, Jordan Love from Utah State.

It's definitely time to start thinking about the future.

I'm not done with this year's team yet, however. I assume we'll go on some sort of mini run, and come up just short of the playoffs and pick in the late teens.
"...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

Kyler is much better than Rosen.
Burrow and Tua are much better than Haskins.
This is what matters to those holding early picks.
Haskins' contract would of course be exchanged for Burrows' or Tua's instead.

I do think it's time to draft a QB but I find it hard to take a QB if a great prospect at OT is available. There are some QB's that will be available in round 2/3 that could become a good NFL QB in a year or two. BUT - let's not forget all those QB's we went through after Stan retired. Anyone want another 10 years of that? How about another Ryan Leaf? I think Top Cat has forgotten those years.
                        THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

Broncos and Bengals maybe only two...maybe Redskins.

It's not just about whether Rivers is better, it's also the fact teams who are average aren't going to throw away a young QB for Rivers.
